In addition to the WITS content (panels, membership meeting, reception), you will have a chance to hear readings and talks by authors such as Art Spiegelman, ZZ Packer, Lucille Clifton, Kwame Dawes, Wang Ping, Tomaz Salamun, and many others.

The WITS Alliance will be a literary sponsor of the Associated Writers & Writing Programs (AWP) Conference this year, offering six panels, a general meeting for members and wannabes, and a reception. If you are interested in setting up a Writers in the Schools (WITS) program in your area, you may want to consider attending the AWP Conference this year.  It will take place February 10-14 in Chicago.
